Watercolor
at the
Eureka Springs School of the
Arts in the Ozark Mountain town of Eureka Springs,
Arkansas.
This five-day session will be offered June 7-11, 2010.

Statement of the Artist
The company, Recollections 54, is a
sole proprietorship established to market reproductions of the art of David
Tripp. The subjects on display are divided by the artist's two primary
"recollections":
1. The watercolor subjects of
small-town America stand as monuments of a cultural environment that fades from
our American landscape, though not from our memories.
2. The collage assemblies of
philosophers and writers celebrate the thinkers and visionaries whose creative
expressions have improved our humanity.
Dr. David M. Tripp is Teacher of Art
History and Philosophy at Martin High School, Arlington, TX, and Adjunct
Professor of Religion and Humanities at Texas Wesleyan University. For
the past fifteen years, he has developed his watercolor and collage theory to
embrace yesterday's communities and intellectual heroes kept alive by our
visual memories and academic sentiments.
